About Decor Appeal

Welcome to Decor Appeal — where cultural relevance comes alive with the raw beauty of nature and the charm of aged, rustic elegance. We create and curate hand-crafted vases, decorative bowls, trinket trays, and bold moss artwork that are anything but ordinary.

Each piece is a conversation starter—infused with artistic edge, earthy textures, and nostalgic nods that blend modern attitude with timeless character. Think sculptural forms, natural elements, and unexpected twists that make your home feel as curated as a gallery, but as grounded as a forest floor.

About the Artist

Sekelle Nathan is a mixed-media artist based in Columbia, South Carolina, and the founder of Decor Appeal, a studio dedicated to creating sculptural moss art and artisanal home décor.

Her work blends natural materials, wabi-sabi aesthetics, and contemporary design to create one-of-a-kind moss art, vessels, trays, and sculptural pieces that bring texture, warmth, and a sense of nature into interior spaces.

Working with preserved moss and hand-formed materials, Sekelle creates dimensional artworks that sit somewhere between fine art and functional décor—pieces designed to be lived with and experienced every day.

Sekelle’s artistry has been recognized in the regional art community. She won Third Place in the Crooked Creek Art League’s 2025 Annual Art Contest, was a featured artist in the Resonate exhibit at The Gallery at Morning Star, and was honored as Palmetto Fine Arts’ August 2025 Artist of the Month.

Her work has been exhibited throughout the Columbia, South Carolina art community, where she continues to build connections with collectors, galleries, and fellow artists.

At the heart of her practice is a simple philosophy: to bring her inner visions to life and share the journey with others — “just in case what amazes me amazes them too.”

Each piece is more than décor. It is an invitation to notice the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary.
