Several works by Sekelle Nathan of Decor Appeal have been selected for the Crooked Creek Art League Annual Juried Show, a regional exhibition showcasing artists from across the Midlands of South Carolina.
Three pieces by the artist will be featured in this year’s exhibition:
• Masters Division – 3D

These sculptural works explore texture, symbolism, and narrative through the use of preserved moss and mixed media.
• Amateur Division – 2D

The CCAL Annual Juried Show highlights a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, offering visitors the opportunity to experience both emerging and established artists from the local arts community.
Visitors are invited to explore the exhibition and discover new work from regional artists.
People’s Choice Voting
Visitors attending the Crooked Creek Art League Annual Juried Show are invited to participate in People’s Choice voting by selecting their favorite artwork from the exhibition.
Voting is available online through the Crooked Creek Art League ballot.

Decor Appeal Moss Art Exhibition — CCAL Public Gallery at Chapin Theatre Company
From April 1 through June 30, several moss art wall sculptures by local artist Sekelle Nathan of Decor Appeal will be on display at the Chapin Theatre Company as part of the Crooked Creek Art League (CCAL) Public Gallery program.
This exhibition features a collection of handcrafted moss artworks that explore the intersection of nature, texture, and storytelling. Each piece is created using preserved moss and natural materials, transforming organic elements into sculptural wall art that brings a sense of calm, depth, and life into interior spaces.
The collection includes three signature series:
Botanical Abstracts
Textural moss compositions inspired by plant forms, landscapes, and the quiet beauty of nature.
Nature Studies
Closer explorations of natural structures, textures, and patterns found in the environment.
Narrative Moss Collages
Story-driven pieces that combine moss and mixed media to explore themes of place, memory, and meaning.
Several works will be available for purchase, with pieces starting at $139, making the exhibition accessible for both new and experienced art collectors.
Visitors attending performances at Chapin Theatre Company or exploring the local arts scene in Chapin, South Carolina are invited to view the installation during the exhibition period.
